Home & The Rush Singles

First of all thanks to everyone who has come out to see us play on my first headline tour in the US. The shows have been really fun.

I'm so excited to share 2 new songs with you today, “Home” and “Trouble”!

”Home” was one of the songs that my producer Fred and I wrote together from the ground up. It started out as more of a country-leaning song, until we changed some of the guitars and pre-chorus around. Then it became a whole different thing. It kind of speaks to life on the road as a touring musician or anyone really. Having spent so much time on the road sometimes coming home feels just as odd as being away for so long.

”Trouble” was one of my favourite songs to write. I wrote it on my first writing trip to LA with Lisa Scinta and Joey Resly, so that was exciting in itself. I’d say that this song is a spin on the perspective of someone who just doesn’t care what people think. Someone who embraces the dark side of themselves and is unapologetic about it.

I’m on my way to LA this week to do some more writing so keep your eyes and ears open for more new music very soon.
